Can a century old curse be broken with love? Only LOVE knows.
How would you feel...what would you do if you were forced to witness the brutal murder of your beloved husband--the father of your children?
That is what happens to Risa, throwing her into a den of despair; plunging her into a darkness so powerful her family fear they will never see her light shine, again.
Then, she discovers that she and her sisters are the descendants of a Native American Medicine Man and a Celtic Priestess cursed for more than a century.
They are the only ones with the power to break the curse to set the family free from that which comes to kill, steal and destroy all that they hold dear...If Risa can dig deeply enough within herself to allow her light to shine.
Her power comes from her faith in her Creator, in her family, in herself and the light of love.
Will she allow a new love--a warrior to tear down her fortress and come into her heart? She will soon discover that there is no greater love than one who would lay down his life for another.

Sometimes love comes ever so softly, as the quiet hush of a gentle breeze and sometimes love comes as a raging Texas storm, but however love comes, feel the warmth of that light as it gently places a smile within your heart and lifts your wings to carry you through the storms and safely into the awaiting arms of your beloved.

As she stood with the cool rain pouring down upon her, the thunder echoing her beating heart and the lightning dancing round her, she thought of those she loves most in this world; her children and her beloved warrior. When the rain stopped and with it the thunder and lightning, all that remained was the blowing wind and her love for them. Soon, she would be able to lift her wings again, and ride those winds to her dear ones.

It lie within her ability to love so passionately, which created in her the tremendous power that she would soon possess to endure unimaginable grief, despair and brokenness and then to rise up out of the flames to conquer and defeat that which would present itself against anything or anyone that she held dear.

...the enemy realized too late that they had stumbled upon an ambush of three women warriors...One enemy soldier was interrogated. "I will ask you one question, one time and you will answer! Where are the children?", she questioned....the moment the location of the children was revealed, she replied, "This is what happens to those who come against this clan..."

...he was strong in his convictions and she in hers, which made her love him all the more, giving him the strength of character to stay the course and her the resolve to continue praying for and believing in him and her Creator, who had given her this man's heart. He had his battles and she would continue with her own, until they could be together once again, both warriors, until the very end...

...he softly told her, "I will be home, soon. I will take care of things here and give you time with your sisters. Don't worry. I will call you and I will never be too far." He gave her one last kiss and said, "Ride the wind, my che-hul-ki!" Once he saw that they were safely on the road, he turned to the one who had come against his family...

I have everything that I could ever need or want, in this moment and in this place and it lies within myself to be all that I was created for in this life. I will not faint and I will not falter! I shall overcome and defeat that which comes against anyone or anything that I hold dear.
